About Dr Ted

Dr Ted Zeff received his doctorate in psychology in 1981 from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, CA. He teaches workshops on coping techniques for highly sensitive people and has taught stress reduction and insomnia management for over fifteen years at various hospitals and medical groups. He has more than twenty years experience counseling sensitive people and has a private practice counseling HSPs in-person and by phone.

Dr Ted is also the author of The Highly Sensitive Person’s Survival Guide and The Highly Sensitive Person’s Companion. His books have been translated into five languages.

He has given numerous media interviews about Highly Sensitive People throughout the U.S., including National Public Radio and has been interviewed on the NBC television show Good Morning Bay Area. The Contra Costa Times and the Toledo Blade have featured articles about his coping strategies for HSPs. He has been invited to give talks about HSPs in Denmark and Holland as well as at the U.S. Highly Sensitive People’s Gatherings in California and Colorado.
